The origins of Castañer can be traced back to the birth of Rafael Castañer, the family's first espadrille maker, in 1776. Fast forward to 1927, when Luis Castañer and his cousin Tomàs Serra founded the brand’s first workshop. Since then, Castañer has come a long way in turning a shoe of popular origin into a sophisticated product. In their 97 years of business, their essence remains as authentic as it was in 1927: tradition, craftsmanship and natural materials
